Choose your system below. Each installer is about 140 to 220 MB. Released 11 October 2026. What's new?

Which Mac do I have? Apple Silicon or Intel

Click the Apple menu and choose About This Mac. If you see Chip: Apple M… (M1, M2, M3…), pick Apple Silicon. If you see Processor: Intel…, pick Intel.

Which Linux do I have? Distribution and processor

Open a terminal and run cat /etc/os-release for the distribution (Ubuntu, CentOS, Rocky, Alma, RHEL…) and uname -m for the processor: x86_64 means x64, aarch64 means arm64.

Windows

Pick Windows x64. It fits nearly every Windows 10 and 11 PC (Intel or AMD).

Support and funding

FrugalEDA is developed by the French SEFIRA Society, supported and funded through the NGI0 Core Fund, a fund established by NLnet with financial support from the European Commission’s Next Generation Internet programme, under the aegis of DG Communications Networks, Content and Technology under grant agreement No 101092990.

FrugalEDA is built on LibrePCB, the free and open-source EDA software, which provides its schematic editor. If LibrePCB is useful to you, please consider supporting it.

FrugalEDA builds on long-standing developments on superconducting electronics at the University of Savoie Mont Blanc in France, supported by CNES, DGA and Campus France.
