Summer School on Superconducting Electronics
An international school for students, engineers, researchers and newcomers who want a solid introduction to superconducting electronics and its applications, including recent advances in quantum information and superconducting qubits.
Programme
Lectures by leading experts cover:
- Quantum physics, superconductivity and the Josephson effect
- Thin-film fabrication of low-Tc and high-Tc superconductors
- Superconducting digital electronics: circuit design, layout and verification
- Superconducting qubits and quantum-limited measurements
- Superconducting neuromorphic circuits
- SQUIDs: noise, configurations, micro- and nano-SQUIDs, scanning SQUID microscopy
- Superconductor-based metrology
- Superconducting detectors: THz detectors, SIS mixers, HEBs, MKIDs, SNSPDs
Format
- One week, residential, in a setting that encourages exchanges between participants and lecturers.
- Every participant presents a poster on their work or interests.
- A pitch session lets each participant introduce their work in a few minutes before the poster sessions.
Credits for PhD students
Courses can be recognised by doctoral schools of European universities. PhD students may request a certificate of attendance to obtain ECTS credits from their own doctoral school.
